Gordon Burns was the face of BBC television in the North West for fifteen years after his national profile through the Krypton Factor; Paul Horrocks was Editor in Chief of the country’s leading regional newspaper, the Manchester Evening News, for twelve years and is a former President of the UK Society of Editors; Martin Brooks was in overall control of BBC regional television and local radio in the North West before joining the development team that planned the moves of five major BBC departments from London to Salford.
