The Gordon Burns Partnership played its part on the University of Bolton stand at the Autosport racing car show in Birmingham attracting would-be students interested in the degree courses offered by the University’s Centre for Advanced Performance Engineering (CAPE). Gordon Burns interviewed Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher (Andy Sugden) on the stand who revealed his passion for racing cars. Kelvin took the racing car simulator speed challenge and posted one of the fastest times of the day.

This interview was followed by a similar session on another day with World and 3 times Olympic sprint cycling champion Jason Kenny who has also taken up car racing in his spare weekends. Once again he proved to be a master of speed in the simulator and told the audience he plans to continue racing cars as well as bikes.

Kelvin and Jason are both big supporters of the University of Bolton and the interviews and simulator challenges attracted big crowds to the stand enabling the University to achieve record numbers of young people registering their interest in the courses on offer which involve working with racing cars on campus as well as trackside in the pits.
